Our Story

Arcana House was born from a shared calling. To create a space where our individual practices- healing, design, herbalism, energy, and relationship work -could live together with purpose and integrity.

We saw the need for more than just a storefront; we wanted to build a place where people could slow down, reconnect, and engage with what truly matters. Rooted in the idea of “arcana” as the inner wisdom beneath the surface, Arcana House exists to offer tools, experiences, and community that help bring that knowing into the light—through intentional objects, meaningful services, and a warm, elevated environment designed to support real connection, healing, and a deeper sense of self.

Ian Shaw

Ian Shaw is a designer with over 20 years of experience in UX/UI, specializing in branding and identity. He is also the co-founder of Arcana House, a collaborative space devoted to meaningful connection, intentional living, and personal transformation. Through his design work and creative direction, Ian brings depth, clarity, and purpose into form—helping individuals and communities reconnect with what matters most. Rooted in a desire to be of service, his work bridges aesthetics and inner awareness, creating experiences that feel both grounded and expansive.

Eden Shaw

Eden is a Certified Healer, Kabbalist, and 2nd Step Ritual Master within the Modern Mystery School whose work focuses on helping individuals reconnect with their inner light and move forward with greater peace, clarity, and empowerment.

Her healing practice is rooted in compassion, intuition, and a refined understanding of energetic balance. Eden has a natural ability to create a calm, nurturing space where clients feel seen, supported, and safe to explore their healing journey. She blends her formal training with her innate gift for guiding others through emotional and spiritual transformation.

Whether someone is looking for clarity, grounding, or a renewed sense of purpose, Eden’s approach is centered on meeting clients where they are and helping them reconnect with the strength and light already within them.

Rosemary Baker

“Rosemary is a bridge between worlds and is Arcana Houses's resident alchemist and hedge witch. Her background in Ensofic Reiki, wild craft herbalism, Druidry, qi gong, and Feng shui brings a unique and holistic blend of services to our creative team. At Arcana House, she offers self-paced and group Alchemy courses, herbalism forays and workshops, Mystery School metaphysical trainings, guided meditation classes, energy clearings and healings, and DNA life purpose readings and activation sessions.

It is her mission to facilitate her clients into greater prosperity by clearing blocks and stagnancy within themselves, in their indoor/outdoor spaces, and to gain deeply loving connection to themselves, to the natural world, and to engage a transformative life with joy and passion.

Max Brandel

Max Brandel was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia. In 2005, he left home to pursue a deeper understanding of spirituality, psychology, and human connection, immersing himself in intentional communities around the world.

His path has included extended time in Buddhist monasteries in Thailand, two formative years living and training as a resident at the Esalen Institute in California, and academic study at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. He later attended 4 years of graduate-level training in Counseling Psychology in Denver.

Today, Max is a father, practicing psychotherapist, and a certified course leader with Authentic Relating International. For more than three years, he has also taught communication skills, emotional de-escalation, and conflict transformation within prisons and halfway houses across Colorado—bringing relational tools to some of the most challenging and human environments imaginable.
